iB Rubinetterie e Paco Jaanson hanno voluto ospitare amici e partner nel nuovo showroom di Melbourne in occasione della presentazione ufficiale delle linee MyGod!, disegnata da Maurizio Duranti, Dr.Jeckyll e Mr.Hyde e SuperBox, degli Australiani Crescent Design. Durante la serata, cui hanno partecipato circa 150 ospiti in tutto, ha presenziato, venuto dall’Italia con Andrea Bregoli, amministratore delegato di iB, l’architetto Lorenzo Damiani, designer di OnlyOne e oggi uno dei più importanti ed apprezzati nomi del panorama del design italiano.

iB Rubinetterie and Paco Jaanson welcomed friends and partners in PJ’s new Melbourne showroom in occasion of the official launch on the “aussie” market of the new MyGod! Range, designed by Maurizio Duranti, Dr.Jeckyll and Mr.Hyde and SuperBox, designed by the Australians Crescent Design. Special guest of the night, where 150 people were present, was the architect Lorenzo Damiani, designer of the OnlyOne range, and today one of the most important italian architects and designers, who came from Italy together with the iB CEO Andrea Bregoli.

Marco entra a far parte della squadra dei designers di iB con la nuova serri Wave che verrà presto svelata…. Marco Acerbis nasce nel 1973 e completa gli studi in architettura presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 1998. Dal 1997 al 2004 vive e lavora a Londra dove collabora con lo studio Foster & Partners. In questi anni è coinvolto nella costruzione di un edificio di otto piani per la ricerca scientifica presso l’Imperial College e diventa Capo Progetto di Capital City Academy, un liceo per 1400 studenti, lungo 250 metri e inaugurato Tony Blair. Nel 2004, rientrato in Italia, apre il proprio studio di architettura e design. Affascinato dalla progettazione senza limiti di scala procede rapidamente esplorando con un costante crossover di competenze, intuizioni e tecnologie  innumerevoli temi, con l’obiettivo di creare uno spazio a progetto globale. La lampada Vertigo, disegnata per Fontana Arte, diventa rapidamente sia un best seller che un’icona senza tempo ed è inclusa nella collezione permanente del Vitra Design Museum. La maniglia Prius disegnata per Colombo Design vince la Menzione d’Onore al XXI Compasso d’Oro. La poltrona Kloe disegnata per Desalto vince il Red Dot Design Award 2009. L’interesse per le tematiche del vivere contemporaneo lo porta inoltre a cimentarsi attivamente nel mondo dell’architettura ecosostenibile con la costruzione di POLINS, Polo di Innovazione Strategica, edificio certificato CasaClima Classe A+.

Marco Acerbis joins the iB Designer Team with the new Wave range that will be revealed soon… Born in 1973 Marco Acerbis  graduates in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1998. From 1997 to 2004 he lives in London where he works with Lord Norman Foster’s Studio. Over these years he collaborates on the construction of an eight storey high Medical Research Building at the Imperial College Campus in London. He then becomes Project Architect for Capital City Academy, a 250 meter long High School building for 1400 students which was opened by Tony Blair. He sets up his own practice in Italy in 2004. Fascinated by designing at very different scales he quickly moves on to explore with a constant cross over of skills, ideas, tools and technologies all sorts of subjects to achieve a globally designed space. The Vertigo floor lamp, designed for Fontana Arte in 2004, was immediately acknowledged as a best seller and an icon of our time and is now included in Vitra Design Museum permanent collection. Prius door handle designed for Colombo Design wins a Special Mention at XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI. Kloe Armchair designed for Desalto wins the Red Dot Design Award 2009.  His interest for contemporary issues takes him to be directly involved in sustainable architecture with the design and construction management of Polins which is certified CasaClima Class A+, the best building standard.

Anche quest’anno iB Rubinetterie era presente sullo stand di Globo Ceramiche durante il CERSAIE. La partnership tra le due aziende, alimentata non solo dai rapporti comuni con Giulio Iacchetti, ma anche dalla vocazione di entrambi per un design vero e sostenibile, è naturale, piacevole… moderna. The partnership between the two companies, that has its base in the common relation with Giulio Iacchetti, is feed by the mutual vision of a real and sustainable design.
